It’s the symbol with two toggles in the upper right corner of the Menu bar. Yes, you read that correctly: The iPhone and iPad Control Center are now available on the Mac. The Control Center is one of the features included in this makeover. Overall, the operating system appears to be more current and closer to a mobile OS. Colors have been brightened, grayscale has been darkened, and numerous icons and menus have been compacted to take up less space (looking at you, Finder). Instead of being circular, app icons are squircle-shaped. Corners are rounded, whether you’re looking at applications or the dock.
Big Sur isn’t a major aesthetic redesign, but there are some minor design changes that make the interface appear a little more iPad-like.
The first thing you’ll notice is that everything appears… strange.
